Voici quelques phrases pour expliquer le thème du concours: « L’artisanat est tout sauf une forme d’art défunte et peut se trouver dans n’importe quel domaine d’activité imaginable. L’ artisanat fabrique des produits de qualité supérieure, avec une attention aux détails qui reflète le soin de l’artisan. En combinant les compétences, l’engagement et le jugement, l’artisan établit une relation étroite entre la tête et la main, l’homme et la machine, qui est vitale pour notre santé physique, mentale et bien-être sociétal… L’artisan est constamment à la recherche de nouveaux outils et techniques pour améliorer les processus de travail. Avec imagination, il ou elle joue le rôle de l’ingénieur industriel, qui est normalement chargé d’une telle tâche. … »

What talent… For one of my favorite themes, the contemporary and innovative craft. Designboom had launched an international competition « The Intelligent Hand ». Here are the subject of the competition: » craftsmanship is an all but defunct art form and can be found in any field of endeavor imaginable. craftsmanship produces superior quality products, with attention to detail that reflect the careful artisan precision. by combining skill, commitment and judgment, the craftsman establishes a close relationship between head and hand, man and machine, which is vital to our physical, mental and societal well-being. although many of the craftsman’s tasks may be repetitive, it doesn’t mean he/she easily falls into a rut. instead, he/she is constantly looking for new tools and techniques to improve the work process. with imagination, he/she plays the role of industrial engineer who is normally charged with such a task.following the ‘making is thinking’,we seek out for contemporary and innovative home accessories, tableware, utensils, small furniture …
